About the Course

This one year course in “Workforce Counseling” will help you to understand mental health practices and the required care in the working community. This course provides essential foundational knowledge, attitudes and skills for people who intend to work as “Workforce counselor / Corporate Counselor”. The course will help the learner to start working with industries as an Industrial / Corporate Counselor.

Month 1:             Workplace Counseling – Need, Process and Documentation + Understanding Learning Styles

Month 2:             Industrial Psychology & Work Place Issues

Month 3:             Counseling Techniques & Therapies – 1 - 100 (Brief Counseling Techniques, Adlerian / Psychodynamic Techniques, Gestalt Techniques, Social Learning Techniques, and Cognitive Approaches & Techniques)

Month 4:             Techniques and Therapies – 101 – 200 (Behavioral Techniques, Behavioral approaches using positive reinforcement and punishments, Classic Therapy Techniques, CBT, Metaphor Therapy Techniques, Creative therapy techniques & NLP techniques)

Month 5:             Techniques and Therapies – 201 – 300 & Above (Play Therapy Techniques, Mindfulness Using Art Therapy Techniques,  Humanistic Phenomenological Approach Techniques, 65 Techniques used by 65 expert therapists and mixed bag of another 40 techniques)

Month 6:             Stress Management Techniques

Month 7:             Dialectical behavior Therapy – Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills - Emotion Regulation Skills - Distress Tolerance Skills - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy at Workplace

Month 8:             Work dysfunctions management & Crisis Negotiation Skills (Diagnosis of work-related dysfunctions - Patterns of under commitment - Patterns of over commitment - Work-related anxiety and depression - Personality disorders and work)

Month 9:             Group Counseling / Group Empowerment / Indirect Counseling

Month 10:           Motivational Interviewing

Month 11:           Case By Case Investigation and Practice Approach – I (Common issues at Workplace – Bullying & Emotional Abuse at workplace, Anxiety, depression, and other mental and emotional problems and disorders - Family and relationship issues - Substance abuse and other addictions - Sexual abuse – Absenteeism - Career change and job stress - Social and emotional difficulties related to disability and illness - Adopting to life transitions etc., )

Month 12:           Case By Case Investigation and Practice Approach – II (Self-Practice and Guide Assisted Learning including interventions and documentation procedure)
